Tony’s playing career started in 1965 at 14 years old in Hempstead, Long Island, New York. It was there he started playing High School dances and Battle of the Bands throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. As his playing career progressed, Tony worked with several bands along the way. Joining the Paul/Owen Band, the more successful of the bands, he found himself playing clubs, music festivals and fund-raising events in New York City, Long Island, Staten Island, and New Jersey’s Long Beach Island. He also played for the U.S. Naval Base in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 1976!
In 1977, he moved to South Florida and played locally with a band called Fable, playing rock, r&b, disco and show tunes throughout the region. Some of the rooms include the Fontainebleau and Castaways hotels, The Forge Restaurant, all in Miami Beach. Tony also played the Holiday Inn circuit throughout Florida.
Currently he is a member of the group 1FlightDown, playing classic rock, blues, r&b and light jazz in the South Florida Area from Jupiter to Miami.
His current kit is a Vintage “70’s” era Rogers drums, all original, in pure white, and Avedis Zildjian cymbals. Tony is legendary for his great backbeats and solid rhythms.
