Lyle was born and raised in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. At age 10, Lyle took up piano and at age 12 began playing
Trumpet and baritone. Lyle started playing guitar in high school and fell in love with the sounds of this instrument. Growing up in Ft. Lauderdale, Lyle became close friends with legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius and record producer Alex Sadkin (Foreigner and Bob Marley).
He was around the “Los Olas Brass” and over time became close to all its members. While attending Florida State, Lyle’s band was the official band of the Rathskeller, during his tenure at FSU. Of late, he has been working with local musicians on several projects making giving him the well deserved reputation as a true student of the Guitar. Some of his teachers include: Bob Whitlock, Rich Cernelia (Hall and Oats) and Bob Bunnin.
Lyle adds the flavor of Jazz and R&B to the mix making the groups he plays for a little more soul. He has an incredibly articulate chops taking the music to a more polished and professional level. He is no slouch and will tell you that Jaco learned a lot from him! (Just kidding….)
